Naviance Family Connection


Family Connection from Naviance is a comprehensive, web-based service designed specifically for high school students and parents to help make decisions about colleges and careers. Below are a few highlights of Family Connection and its capabilities:

  • SAT/ACT prep programs
  • Analyze colleges and make comparisons of GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data
  • Explore virtual tours of colleges
  • Build a résumé, complete on-line surveys, and manage each colleges’ timelines and deadlines
  • Take a personality and interest inventory, which links students to possible career choices
  • Research and apply for college scholarships
  • Complete the FAFSA
  • Senior year: manage college applications on-line 

 High school students will use the Naviance tool in the following ways:

  • 9thGrade – Set-up login account, research career fields and majors, and explore virtual college campus tours
  • 10thGrade – Take an  interest inventory and explore colleges and majors which match interest results
  • 11thGrade – Write college/career résumé, begin test preparation, and research colleges
  • 12thGrade – College test preparation, college application process


**Dallas Academy’s incoming seniors currently have a personalized log for Naviance. Rising 9th-11th grade students will create their own account in the fall of 2017 and will be ready to start their journey with Naviance.
