Sarah Jayroe joined the Dallas Academy team in May of 2010. Sarah began her career working as an Admission Counselor at her alma mater, Loyola University New Orleans. She received her bachelor’s degree in music from Loyola in 2004 and was excited to stay on-board at the university by joining the admission team after graduation. While working at Loyola, Sarah focused on student recruitment and admissions through travel, hosting open houses, and building counselor relations. Sarah continued to recruit for Loyola during an evacuation to Dallas during Hurricane Katrina.
In 2006 an opportunity became available to move to Dallas and join the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Southern Methodist University. Sarah worked as Assistant Director of Admission for four years, specializing in student recruitment and admission. At SMU, her responsibilities included territory management, office travel management, overseeing various honors programs, and managing the arts admission process.
Sarah was excited to join the Dallas Academy team in the spring of 2010. She focuses on public relations, community outreach, development, campus events, and student recruitment. She enjoys fostering relationships both in the Dallas community and within the Dallas Academy family. When not at work, Sarah enjoys running and spending time with her husband Peter, daughters Ellen and Margaret, and dog.
