Caroline Cooper Named Teacher of the Year

Dallas Academy was proud to nominate an outstanding teacher for the annual Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce (GEDCC) Teacher of the Year competition. The Chamber recognizes six teachers from our community each year who make a positive impact in the lives of students and leave an indelible mark on their school. Nominees must display excellence in professional practice, community engagement, leadership in professional development, and attention to diversity. Recipients of this prestigious award have made significant contributions towards innovative, unique, and novel programming.

Dallas Academy was thrilled to learn that high school social studies teacher Caroline Cooper was selected as 2017 GEDCC Teacher of the Year from nearly fifty applications. Caroline was recognized on November 14th at a Chamber luncheon for her outstanding accomplishments in education. Please join us in congratulating Caroline on this prestigious award and for her outstanding contributions to the Dallas Academy community!
