Dallas Academy's varsity football program reached an exciting milestone on Thursday night. Varsity Football Coach, Jeremy Civello, celebrated his fiftieth win as head coach at Dallas Academy. The Bulldogs enjoyed a dominating win over UME Prep with a score 47-0, ending the game at halftime. The big win was celebrated by fans from throughout Coach Civello’s tenure at Dallas Academy.
On Thursday, Dallas Academy’s offense was led by senior Max Eldridge who rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Senior Hayden Maxwell rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Senior quarterback Pierce Williams threw two touchdown passes. Juniors Reid Boulogne and DJ Patrick each scored one touchdown reception. Dallas Academy’s defense was led by Max Eldridge who had seven tackles, Pierce Williams with five tackles and one interception, Reid Boulogne with five tackles, and Hayden Maxwell with one interception.
The Bulldogs now sit at a 3-3 record so far in the season as they prepare to take on McKinney Cornerstone on Friday night in their homecoming game. Coach Civello is enthusiastic about the team and their season ahead. He also noted how proud he is that this group of outstanding players and exceptional young men are the ones that helped him achieve the honor of reaching fifty career wins while at Dallas Academy. Coach Civello has run the Dallas Academy football program for eight years and also serves as Athletic Director. Amongst his many accomplishments, Coach Civello led the Bulldogs to a TCAF state championship title in 2012.
The Dallas Academy community is proud of the team for their dominating win over UME Prep and is thrilled for the accomplishments of Coach Civello and what he has done for the school’s athletic program. Dallas Academy looks forward to many more milestones and victories ahead in the team’s future.
